아뜰리에 아키에서는 오는 3월 16일부터 4월 18일까지 ‘동시대’라는 시대적 환경에 맞춰 변화하며, 소통하고 있는 한국 컨템포러리 아트를 만날 수 있는「Dialogue」展이 열립니다.
이번 전시는 고정적인 시각을 탈피하고 재료와 장르의 구분을 넘어 독창적인 형식과 다양한 장르를 선보이는 강예신, 권기수, 김덕기, 박효진, 우국원 작가가 참여합니다. 특히 이번 전시는 코로나 19로 인해 주요 해외 아트페어가 취소되고, 미술관·박물관이 잠정 휴관하는 등 침체된 오늘날에 현대미술의 역동적인 에너지로 위로와 힐링을 선사하고자 합니다.
이번 전시에서 선보이는 우국원의 신작 ‘Minister’는 일본 에도시대에 활약한 목판화가로 우키요에의 대표적인 작가인 가츠시카 호쿠사이의 ‘하다 지방과 에추 지방 경계의 현수’를 현대적으로 재해석 한 작품으로 작가만의 독특한 위트를 만나 보실 수 있습니다. 또한 즉흥적이고 자유로운 붓질이 돋보이는 드로잉 개념에 계산되어 깔끔하게 그려온 회화 기법의 조화를 통해 자신만의 생각을 자유롭게 선보이는 권기수의 신작을 처음으로 선보일 예정이오니, 많은 관심 부탁드립니다.
ATELIER AKI is delighted to present our upcoming exhibition, 「Dialogue」, which opens on March 16 and it runs until April 18. At this exhibition, everyone will be able to meet our Korean contemporary artists who communicate in the environment of the times.This exhibition will be focused on a selection of works that give unique and new insight by Kang Yehsine, Kwon Kisoo, Kim Dukki, Park Hyojin and Woo Kukwon. In response to the cancellation of Art Fair Tokyo 2020, we had been decided to show their significant art pieces at our gallery. We invite the audiences to feel the dynamic energy from the art pieces by our Korean contemporary artists and hopefully we could overcome the situation we face at this moment as one.
At this exhibition, new painting by Woo Kukwon will be displayed which is called ‘Minister’. Woo Kukwon had been reinterpreted his recent painting into modern one which was originally painted by a Japanese leading expert, Katsushika Hokusai, who was an ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo period in Japan. As Hokusai’s art pieces were internationally recognized print, Woo Kukwon’s painting will also be achieved recognition about his own visual language through this exhibition. Moreover, recent art pieces by Kwon Kisoo who shows his ideas with dynamic brushstrokes and also his neatly style of painting will also be displayed. It’d be much appreciated if everyone could give a lot of support towards us.
