권대훈 개인展 「Still in the Forest」
September 11 - October 17 2020

아뜰리에 아키는 오는 9월 11일부터 10월 17일까지 권대훈 개인전 「Still in the Forest (스틸 인 더 포레스트)」을 개최합니다.
한국인 최초로 영국 왕립미술원의 현대미술 조각 부문상인 잭 골드힐 조각상(The Jack Goldhill)을 수상한 권대훈 작가는 서로 다른 차원의 순간을 한 공간에 표현 하지만, 보는 이의 방향에 따라 서로 다른 시공간을 제시하는 작품을 통해 자신만의 독특한 예술 세계를 구축하고 있습니다.
특히 이번 전시에서는 빛의 방향에 따라 또 다른 이미지로 변화하여 일루전(illusion)을 만들어내는 LED 미디어 신작을 선보일 예정입니다. 또한 회화와 조각을 결합하여 새로운 장르를 만든 권대훈 작가만의 작품과 함께 입체 작업의 기반인 초창기 연필드로잉 작품을 감상하실 수 있습니다.
ATELIER AKI is pleased to present 「Still in the Forest」, a solo exhibition of Kwon Dae Hun, which will be open on September 11 and remain on view through October 17.
Kwon Dae Hun is the first Korean artist who was honorably awarded ‘The Jack Goldhill Award’’ for sculpture from The Royal Academy. He creates his unique visual language through his art pieces that express to capture an instant moment, especially the moments of enlightenment imbued in his memory.
At the presentation of this exhibition 「Still in the Forest」, his recent media art piece will be featured. As the direction of LED light changes, the different images from the media art piece will be appeared. Moreover, a new series of sculptures which are a group of related to his drawings will also be presented at the gallery.
