아트부산&디자인이 개최되는 부산은 대한민국의 제2의 도시이자 국제적인 해안 휴양도시입니다. 세계 5위 교역량의 항구를 보유하고 있는 부산은 지리적 이점으로 일본, 중국 주요도시와의 이동이 용이하며, 향후 신공항까지 고려할 때 아시아의 새로운 허브도시로 발돋움할 잠재력을 가진 도시입니다. 매회 행사를 거듭하며 부산에서 새로운 미술관, 갤러리, 복합문화공간들이 문을 열면서 지역 문화예술계 또한 활성화되고 있으며, 서울에 이어 성장 잠재력이 가장 높은 도시로 주목받고 있습니다. 올해 제9회를 맞이하는 아트부산&디자인은 부산국제영화제, 부산비엔날레와 함께 세계 속에 부산을 대표하는 문화예술 행사로 인정받고 있습니다.
Busan is the second-largest city in Korea and one of the most popular international holiday destinations. Busan has the world's fifth-largest port with a geographical advantage that makes it easier to visit major cities in Japan and China, which gives it the potential to become a new hub city in Asia. With the continuous and increasing openings of art museums, galleries, and cultural complexes in Busan, the local art and culture industries are also becoming more active, and the city is known to have the highest growth potential after Seoul. The 9th edition of Art Busan & design is recognized as one of the representative art and culture event not only in Busan but in Korea, along with Busan International Film Festival and Busan Biennale.
